Evacuation order lifted for Poinsettia Fire in Carlsbad

CARLSBAD - The evacuation order has been lifted on all areas associated with the Poinsettia Fire in Carlsbad, the City of Carlsbad says. Residents are asked to use caution as they re-enter their neighborhoods because of police and fire equipment and personnel in some areas.

Carlsbad incident command staff is preparing to release some resources so they can be redeployed where needed, the city said. Current Carlsbad fire resources deployed include 9 strike teams, 4 hand crews and 2 bulldozers with crews, representing approximately 300 firefighters, according to the city.
