Police were on the lookout today for the man who jumped out of a red, newer-model Range Rover on the San Diego State University campus and tried to hug and kiss a female student.

The student told police that about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, two men pulled up in a red Range Rover as she was walking on Campanile Drive near the Speech Language building and offered her a ride home, according to campus police officers.

The SUV's passenger then got out, introduced himself as "R.J." and attempted to kiss and hug her, but she pulled away and walked off, police said.

The man got back into the SUV and they two suspects sped away, police said.

Police described the passenger as a possibly Armenian man who is about 21, 5 feet 9, and thin with short, black wavy hair. He was wearing a dark blue v-neck shirt and dark jeans.

The driver was only described as a possibly Armenian man in his 30s.
