When will they learn? Marijuana is not any more, in fact in my opinion is much less of a dangerous drug than alcohol. Just like guns, about anything can be misused but only unresponsible people do that. Sure accidents can happen but seriously all abuses are by ignorant and stupid people. So if marijuana is so bad then we should out law alcohol, all medications, guns, fireworks, autos, sling-shots, baseball bats, tableware like utensils, ..... Get the picture? Then we can have a somewhat safe and boring world. All because ignoran and stupid people have ruined it for the rest of us.
When will they learn?

Sounds to me that you want to live your life in a fog. Why? Get out there and enjoy life and appreciate the world around you. Find your purpose and go for it. Surely it can't be to go through this life in a daze, without clarity. This world is anything but boring. Contribute to it with the brain and heart God gave you.

what a waste, I agree with Matt #3, It's a beautiful healing plant. But lets worry about those plants, while the neighbors are cooking everything under their kitchen sink. Someone is beating his wife, child and the dog. But they got the plants.

Fallbrook Sheriff's should sell it to the dispensaries - do a nice office remodel. I hate to see it all go up in smoke when there are people medically in need. It's like confiscating all the hydrocodone for severe pain users.

YES PLEASE MOVE to COLORADO! That would be awesome. And I certainly wonder who is smoking that 'gasoline soaked swag' from across the border? Plenty of it is showing up in border busts.

A recent New Yorker interview President Obama said marijuana use was “less dangerous” than alcohol “in terms of its impact on the individual consumer.” This has left parents struggling to explain to their children why they should not smoke marijuana, as it becomes legal in more and more states.

In an effort to clarify, the White House this morning released a list of potentially-negative side effects of the drug Obama admits he used in his youth

“President Obama wants American kids to know that frequent marijuana usage can lead to…

•Lethargic reactions to dangerous situations behind the wheel or when your consulate is attacked.
•Feelings of immortality, omniscience and omnipotence, leading to attempts to “do the impossible,” or take over entire economic sectors.
•Cravings for foods that are on the First Lady’s ‘no-no list’
•‘Running with the wrong crowd,’ including petty law-breakers, communist dictators, Islamist warlords and even political consultants.
•Irresistible urges to flee responsibility, and spend countless hours at places where there’s ‘lots of grass’.
•Inattention to detail in written instructions, like laws or the U.S. Constitution.”

The White House retracted the list later in the morning, noting that the president didn’t recall approving its release.

You want to legalize pot? How about answering the following questions first?

*Do you mind if your kids' teacher is high? Yes or no.

*Do you mind if your kids' bus driver is higher than a kite? Yes or no.

*Do you mind if the surgeon performing a quadruple bypass on you is high? Yes or no.

*Do you mind if a train conductor of the train you are travelling on is higher than a kite? Yes or no.

*Do you mind if the pilots of the airplane you are flying on are . . . higher than a kite? Yes or no.

*Do you mind if your elected political official is higher than a kite? Yes or no. (Oh wait a minute, our last three presidents were. Please stick your head out the window to see what kind of world they created. Or just look at Toronto what a city run by an addict looks like.)

*When you call a police officer for help, would you mind if he/she was higher than a kite? Yes or no.

*Would you mind that your babysitter is higher than a kite? Yes or no.

*In an emergency, would you mind that the nurse tending to you is higher than a kite? Yes or no.

* Would you mind that drivers are higher than a kite? Yes or no.

*Would you mind that our military brass are higher than a kite? Yes or no. (Wait a minute, they just might be already. Never mind.)

Etc.

If you want a glimpse of that kind of world, here are a few tidbits for your enjoyment.

Until it's legal...it's Illegal. Cops just doing their job. I agree they should spend their efforts elsewhere, however. Sooner than later, Calif will legalize it too. It's just another pass time. So one should hike and enjoy nature, rather than get high and piddle around in the garage? Everyone decides for themselves, so don't judge. As far as the Obama list? Wow. "running with the wrong crowd" Irresistible urges to flee responsibility" What is this, the 50s? That sort of dribble is so archaic it makes me laugh.

@ Lee....Booze is legal but would not want any of the ones you mentioned to be drunk or under the influence while working. Give me a break! If I had to choose between booze and weed, weed would win every time! It has helped so many people and there are just a hand full of "stoners" compared to the ones that are using it for health issues. The stoners couldn't even get the type of jobs you have mentioned above. They are more than likely sitting at home doing their thing. Professionals that may use on occasion would never jeopardize their jobs using at work. If drug testing is done, they would refrain from using at all!!!! Not all who smoke are pot heads!

Lee - of all the professions - who are the leading pot smokers? Having trouble? Think...let's see, hint, pot got really big in the 60-70's, hummm, that was hint #2. Ohhh, you get it, the musicians. Are they bad people? Of course they are, no character at all. All the music they write is about hate, fighting, abuse, war-no peace, no love.

Every profession you named could be drinking on the job also, but do you not think people have character? Take no responsibility, or accountability?

Lots of smokers are recreational users, just like sitting down and having a beer. A little toke doesn't hurt anyone. And no I don't smoke pot but don't care of it's legalized. Pot heads have created incredible music.

@Lee, lets use some logic here. Alcohol is legal. And what happens when Doctors, Pilots, Trainconductors etc. get caught drinking on the job? They get fired. If you drive drunk you get arrested. Really you are not allowed to even be drunk in public. Alcohol is legal yet there are restrictions as to it's use. How is it "logical" to think that legalizing marijuana would be any different? How can you think legalizing marijuana would create a free for all situation where everyone would be encouraged to get high? Just because something is legal does not mean abusing it will go unnoticed. I find it really funny how often you talk about logic yet your statements typically lack it. Not to mention the contradicting.

Lee, if people want to get high and be irresponsible they can do it already. The laws governing intoxication will not change with the legalization of marijuana. I would like to see some of the revenue from the sale of pot go back into the community rather than to a drug cartel that does nothing to better society. Also, all the money spent each year keeping people in jail for pot-related crimes could be better spent elsewhere, plus providing more room in the prisons for people that are truly a danger to society. And yes to all above- anyone that has smoked knows that it is better to be around folks that are high than people who are drunk.

" The investigation started last June following reports of suspicious activity on the property"

So law enforcement basically has been watching this place for nine months and decide to move in on the greenhouses when NOBODY is there???? They come up with a single handgun. I saw this on the news and laughed at them holding little plants. 9 months is enough time for a harvest to take place and all they have is baby plants and a handgun and say it is worth almost a million dollars?

In the past year my dr has changed my pain meds 7 times.....none of them take the pain I have in my legs away......2-3 puffs makes me feel almost pain free.....rx meds are damaging to my kidneys and liver, that is why I will no longer keep trying new meds......pot takes 90% of the pain. I sleep good and have a great day....with the rx meds I feel funky all day, nauseated and weak........people who smoke pot to get high is just like people who drink to get drunk.......I just want to feel better...please legalize it

" . . . people who smoke pot to get high is just like people who drink to get drunk . . . "

So let's do nothing, and if somebody gets killed by a drunk, who gives a rat's behind, right?

Got it.

It's ALL about you, is it? Me, me, me!!! MY rights! ME, ME, ME! And the rest of the world be darned.

Including some schmuck killed on the road by a drunk driver . . . or somebody higher than a kites.

Again, got it.
