TEMECULA – The Phoenix Patriot Band will be performing at the Avocado Festival Sunday, April 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the food court located at E. Hawthorne St. They will be playing a mixed genre of rock cover songs. The band serves as a signature band supporting the music program of the Phoenix Patriot Foundation (PPF), a 501 c3 non-profit organization providing direct support to severely wounded veterans enabling them to fully recover, reintegrate, and remain engaged in serving America.

CEO/founder Jared Ogden, former Navy SEAL and cast member on Ultimate Survival Alaska, founded the PPF in the spring of 2010 after his last deployment to Afghanistan, where teammate Navy SEAL Lt. Dan Cnossen was severely injured by an IED resulting in the amputation of both legs.

During several visits to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center to see Cnossen, Ogden was inspired to create an organization dedicated to help injured veterans find new meaning and passion in their lives. Through individually tailored programs, the PPF focuses on ensuring independence and lifelong sustainability, enabling each hero to follow their passion and return to a life of service within their communities and the nation.

Darrin Isham, band leader and ambassador to the PPF, created the music program to help the PPF and its mission. The band serves as a platform to raise awareness, participate in fundraising efforts, and engage in music recording projects with wounded veterans who possess a background in music. The band is scheduled to support several key events this year for the PPF.
