SAN DIEGO - At least one person was shot and wounded today (Sun., March 9) at a home in southern Orange County and sheriff's deputies were searching for the suspected gunman's car in the San Onofre area of North County.

The shooting at a house in the 32500 block of Crete Road, near Dana Point, was reported about 10 a.m., said OCSD spokesman Lt. Jeff Hallock. The house is about one mile inland from Monarch Bay, off Crown Valley Parkway.

a hospital for treatment, Hallock said, adding he didn't yet know if the victim was a man or woman.

"Deputies located a suspect and his car in the San Clemente area," Hallock continued. "A short pursuit took place which ended in the San Onofre area and that is where deputies are now conducting a search to try and find the suspect's car."

Hallock said he didn't yet know the condition of the victim or what had sparked the gunfire. No information about the suspected shooter was immediately available.

Hey look! Another gun-related incident.

Shocker.

The Second Amendment allows ALL people to have guns . . . including criminals with guns. Folks, the next time you are having a discussion with a self-proclaimed "good guy" with a gun, please point out to him/her that this SAME law, the Second Amendment, is the same law that also allows "bad guys" with guns to exist. What will ensue (by the "good guy") is (A) the deer in the headlights stare which will quickly morph into (B) the famous 1,000 yard stare. Finally, (C) he/she will engage in copious amounts of stuttering and babbling fair & balanced "logic". Don't believe me? Try it.

Enjoy.

Regardless of the second amendment exists or not, the "bad guys" are going to have guns! Double edge sword there Mr. Lee...

@ #2 Jason

Not true. The reason why "bad guys" have guns and why "bad guys" with guns DO exist is because of the Second Amendment. Sorry you don't understand that obvious concept.

Lee: In your world, how do YOU get rid of aaalllll the guns the bad guys have, including the drug cartels, rapists, bank robbers, etc.?

OH... I know, you expect the good cop to 'say': "Please, may I have your gun?" Bad guy, "Ok, here."

Conclusion: Criminals do not care about laws and disarming the law-abiding makes the latter sheep for the slaughter.

One might conclude that this is what some sick sort hopes for and that all this crying and whining about weapons is mere subterfuge.

Comment #3 is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard in my entire life. If not, it is a very close second.
