Authorities with the San Diego County Sheriff's Dept., Fallbrook substation, have arrested a man they believe is responsible for breaking in to a dozen businesses recently in Fallbrook.

On Monday night, March 3, at about 10:45 p.m., the Sheriff's Dept. received a call from the owner of Joe's Hardware store in the 600 block of South Main Ave. in Fallbrook, who reported a suspicious person was inside the gated compound of his business.

"Fallbrook deputies set up a perimeter," explained Sgt. Patrick Yates, which resulted in the capture of Oscar Duran Ordonez, 26.

"Ordonez was found inside the gated exterior of the business," said Yates. "Ordonez matched the description of a suspect believed to have been involved in over 12 other commercial burglaries in the Fallbrook area."

Yates said the string Advertisement

of burglaries had all occurred at night or in the early morning hours.

"In many of the burglaries, it was determined that nothing had been taken; however, in those burglaries where there was a loss, cash was stolen," said Yates. "Despite an aggressive investigation, where lots of evidence had been collected, the identity of a suspect could not be established."

When Ordonez was taken into custody, he was found to be in possession of clothing that directly linked him to several of the other burglaries.

"Ordonez was not a suspect prior to his arrest," said Yates. "He was new to Fallbrook and had no prior arrests."

Ordonez was booked into the Vista Jail on one count of attempted burglary and 11 counts of commercial burglary. His bail was set at $300,000.

Good job LE. Good job Joe! Nice to hear this bum is off the streets. I wonder "how far outside" from Fallbrook he's from. Either way, good, he's caught.

Ah yes, he was new to Fallbrook! He didn't know we are a smart little town. It was only a matter of time before he was found.

This is what happens as a result of a crazy society that is based on money. Some have it; others do not. And those who don't, resort, sadly, to crime.

Welcome to insanity.

Lee is finally right.....Some of us work and have....

Others don't work and don't have.... It's always about money...That will never change.....

Wait... it says in burglaries where there was a loss, cash was stolen. But then we read later that "He was found to be in possession of clothing that directly linked him to several of the other burglaries." So really, shouldn't the first sentence say "where there was a loss, cash and clothing were stolen" ?????

****
VILLAGE NEWS CLARIFIES - He was found in possession of clothing that linked him to the other burglaries...... as in a clothing item he was wearing was seen in surveillance tapes from other burglaries.... or fibers from said clothing were found at a previous burglary.... etc. D. Ramsey

....or sometimes people are just of a criminal mindset. They prefer stealing to getting an honest job and earning their way in life. Now this fool will end up eating 3 squares a day on the taxpayers.

@Lee (why brother?) if we had no money, people like this would still steal - food, clothing, something,. There are people that work, and those that do not. Sorry Lee, no military, no guns, just fact!

@ #8 Grunt

Quite the opposite is true. The reason why people steal today is because we DO have money. If things were free, not only would people NOT steal, but there would be no crime. For example, a criminal holding up a person because he/she wants the victim's SUV . . . could now get one him/herself . . . for free. A gross over-generalization, but nonetheless and accurate picture. The reason why we have crime today is because we have this concept of those who have and those who don't. No, there wouldn't be hoarding; we have that concept now with the most famous hoarder being OPEC. People would not hoard but instead, with time, would take ONLY how much they needed. Today, people hoard and hoard things by buying things they most likely will never need during our famous holiday sales, etc.: "It's 40%, therefore I gotta have it!" The sad reality is that they most likely do NOT need the item they have just bought. People, because of money, hoard today, and those who have very little of it, do or may resort to crime. It's that simple.

PS. Oh yeah, because there would be no crime and people wouldn't commit wrongs, there would be no need for guns and an army. Can you dig it?

There are just no words to describe how unbelievably ridiculous Lee's statements are. His reasoning simply defies logic.

"He was NEW to Fallbrook and had no prior arrests." Looks to me like they can add charges of entering OUR country Illegal, and other related charges if they really wanted to follow the law...

But then again, they are only here to work, NOT GET FREE SCHOOLING, MEDICAL, etc...... But then again, we do need Illegals here due to the low number of unemployeed American Citizens in their own country..

Lee, thank you for the response. If everything were free, how we would get them? Say there are four people and four hamburgers - all free. I want TWO. I am bigger and stronger than you - Iget two you get none, or would I go hunger because I only eat one? Not going to happen. If everything were free, why work hard as a farmer - somone else will do it. Why work hard digging holes for the power company - someone else will do it. A lot if jobs offer satisfaction, a lot of jobs are HARD WORK and if people are not compensated, they would not get accomplished.

Take it to a bigger scale. Russia and the Mid-east have oil, Japan does not - does Russia and th eMid east give the oil to Japan? I nexchange for what? nothing? What if Japan needs more oil that Russia or the Mideast wants to give it? Now say it is trees, lumber - we have a lot, Japan not so much , so Japan, seeing we have no Army comes and takes- the very tree you were using to provide a camp fire to cook you meal and warm your children? What do you do now?

From the beginning of time we have had armies and wars, not going to stop, IN A REALISTC WORLD. I know you want ot live in paradise, but commnets on here are NORMALLY in reaction to the real world. But do nto worry Lee, when we, those of us that are Christains die, we will be in paradise.

@ #11 Pink

Can you explain your statement with a logical argument, please?

@ #14 Grunt

The exact reasons/conditions you have just mentioned are the reasons why the concepts of 'money' and 'nations' do not work.

"Imagine there are no countries . . . "

@Lee: I believe that the term "unbelievably ridiculous" says it all. Common since and logic apparently do not exist in your world.

Then, Lee, without money or something to barter HOW DO YOU GET SOMETHING? I grow food, hunt, why would I give you some of my food or game? Why would the power company give me electricity?
