2010 alleges that Sauter-Frett fled St. Thomas after being accused of stealing $122,000 from customers of her company who believed their funds were being held securely in an escrow account.

Prior to the accusations, Sauter-Frett was a successful Realtor and had the largest realty office on St. Thomas, according to the Virgin Islands Daily News, which also reported that she ran an accounting office and a restaurant- bar.

Sauter-Frett is scheduled to appear in federal court next Thursday, Foxworth said.

She ran, shame, shame. If your going to be a crook, at least stand up for you choices. (Ditto #1) Not worth her freedom, looking over her shoulder for life. They still found her!

The headline certainly reads differently than what the article portrays.

I am from St. Thomas and everyone in the USVI knows that Rosemary Sauter stole close to $3,000.000 from various escrow accounts connected to her ReMax real estate office on the island. When she fled the island, she took millions with her. Rosemary is nothing more than a scam artist.

Yes, it was 3 million. I can't provide the link here, but if you go to stthomassource.com you can read the story from her bail hearing in the VI.
