Katie Winters, owner and massage therapist of Healing Touch Massage, has been very busy since opening her business in Fallbrook seven months ago. Several customers have given it five stars on website-based review sites.

Clients tell Winters that they have heard about the excellent array of massages offered at Healing Touch through word-of-mouth around town.

As a certified massage therapist, Winters has several different types of massage available which are administered by her and two other licensed female massage therapists.

Therapeutic massage: focuses on alleviating tension and pain.

Swedish massage: uses gentle and long strokes, kneading and deep circular movements, as well as vibration and tapping to relax the mind.

Deep Tissue massage: a slower pace with forceful strokes which target the deeper layer of muscle and tissue.

Sport massage: this focuses on muscles which are relevant to the type of athletic activity the client is involved with, and also enhances endurance which lessens the chance of an injury.

Couples massage: two people are able to be booked at the same time, in either the same or different rooms with their own massage therapist, depending on their preference.

Thai massage: uses a synthesis of many techniques such as reflexology, energy line work, and stretching and yoga. Because of the intricacies of this massage, the therapists use their palms, thumbs, feet, elbows, forearms and knees.

Thai Herbal Compress massage: hot compresses are used to alleviate pain of pulled muscles and ligaments, as well as chronic backaches, arthritis, skin conditioning, and migraines. Traditional Thai herbal oil blends relax and invigorate the individual.

When Winters meets a client who is not sure which type of massage they need, she helps them by asking about their symptoms, then feels their body muscles to determine what type of pressure is needed to help with stress, pain or both. Many clients become regulars and their repeat patronage reflects their satisfaction and trust with the family-owned and operated business.

Winter’s husband, Gary, assists in the business by answering calls and booking appointments. The overall focus at Healing Touch is about determining each individual’s needs: healing, relaxing, reducing stress, muscle tension, improving blood circulation and relieving pain.

Located at 317 E. Mission Road (diagonally across from Tony’s Art, Antique and Collectibles), Healing Touch Massage can be reached by calling (760) 583-3500. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Walk-ins welcome. Learn more at

My wife and I have been going to Healing Touch for about 6-months now - Katie is a master and her other therapists are very good as well! For general relaxation/pain relief, or athletics - we highly recommend Healing Touch. And if you go in, make sure Gary isn't slacking off :)
