Vintage Car Club motors into January

Thursday, January 30th, 2014
Issue 05, Volume 18.

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Vintage Car Club enjoyed an active January starting with a members-only mini-car show held during their annual Kick-Off Breakfast. The club also made two donations this month to two local non-profit organizations.

On Jan. 11, the car club held its Kick-Off Breakfast at Christ the King Church. To get things rolling prior to breakfast time, many members of the club drove their vintage vehicles and held a mini-car show in the church’s parking lot. One-hundred and nineteen members attended the event which also served as the club’s monthly general business meeting.

After the meeting, president Roy Moosa called upon the special program chairs to review the many fun-filled events already calendared for 2014. These included a local vehicular scavenger hunt, a tour bus trip to the Nethercutt Car Museum in Sylmar, the 49th annual Fallbrook Vintage Car Show on May 25, as well as the summer Bar-B-Q, the fall Family Picnic and finishing out the year with the annual Christmas Party in December.

received a donation from the Fallbrook Vintage Car Club. The FCCPC, founded by Pat Braendel, president, is made up entirely of volunteers. The committee’s goals are to help establish various types of anti-crime programs throughout the community as well as educating the community about trends in crime and crime prevention. All of these efforts are designed to support reduction of crime in Fallbrook and surrounding areas. If interested, call Braendel at (760) 731-9127 for more information.

It was with pleasure that the Vintage Car Club made a donation to the Fallbrook Food Pantry. The food pantry feeds approximately 600 families in the Fallbrook community every week. The club’s donation will go toward the purchase of dairy products needed to supplement the produce and meat donated by other groups in order to make up more complete meals for each family.

The Fallbrook Vintage Car Club is dedicated to supporting needy schools, youth groups, military, seniors and other non-profit organizations in the local Fallbrook community. Visit www.fallbrookvintagecarclub.org or call (760) 723-1181 for more information.
