Historical Society to hold Christmas ‘Open House’ on Sat. Dec. 14; includes tree-lighting, music, kids activities, more

FALLBROOK – The board of directors of the Fallbrook Historical Society cordially invites the public to join them for the second annual "Old-Fashioned Christmas" Open House on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the society’s museum grounds, 1730 Hill Street, (Rocky Crest Road and Hill Street).

The Open House will feature a number of activities including an arts and crafts area which will provide children with the opportunity to string colored macaroni as jewelry or garlands and to create a unique ornament of their own to take home; Korkie the Clown will be on hand to make animal balloons for the children; the Fallbrook High School Madrigals will perform in Advertisement

a special program at 12:30 p.m. followed by an official "tree lighting" by Fallbrook Honorary Mayor Martin Quiroz and Miss Fallbrook Shavonne Donoghue; Santa will greet visitors and distribute candy canes from 1 to 2 p.m.

New this year will be the display of entries in the Fallbrook Chamber’s Gingerbread House Contest. Visitors can view the gingerbread displays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then vote for their favorite. The winner of the contest will be announced at 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will also be served.

Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to share the spirit of an old-fashioned Christmas with friends, family, and the community.

The event is open to the public and free of charge.
