On behalf of my lovely wife, a 29 year Navy veteran, and my son, a Marine currently deployed in Afghanistan, of which the Marine Corps is a department of the Navy (the men's department), and on my own Merchant Marine behalf, I wish the Navy a Happy 238th Birthday.

I wish I was in my mess dress teaching Navy sailors how to be sailors.
