Thirteen individuals were arrested in North County early this morning when the San Diego County Sheriff's Dept. Court Services Bureau conducted a warrant sweep in Fallbrook, Valley Center, Vista, Oceanside, Escondido, Carlsbad, and Poway.

Officers from the San Diego County Probation Dept. assisted in the sweep that began at 6 a.m. today, Friday, Sept. 13.

"The focus of the operation was on the apprehension of suspects with outstanding misdemeanor and felony warrants," said Sheriff's Sgt. Bill Munsch."A total of 13 adults were arrested on misdemeanor warrants. A total of 15 misdemeanor warrants were cleared."

Munsch said warrant charges included: driving under Advertisement

the influence, driving on a suspended license, domestic violence, and petty theft.

"This warrant sweep was funded by the Sheriff's Warrant System Automation Trust Fund," explained Munsch. "The trust fund is made up of assessment fees collected from people who have violated a written promise to appear in court or otherwise failed to comply with a court order."

Munsch said the Sheriff's Department "will continue its efforts in the apprehension of wanted subjects."

He advises persons who have outstanding warrants to turn themselves in Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at any one of the Sheriff's court facilities.

We won't get their names because it may infringe upon their Constitutional Rights to remain incognito so no one knows they are criminals!!!

It is very easy to get a felony or end up in the system these days. I wouldn't be so cocky! Look at the kid in Arrowhead who ended up tazed to death for not completely stopping at a turn. He had zero criminal infractions prior to that date. Karma will get you for being happy these people are arrested.

No Me, They won't even need their DLs back anymore. Didn't you read about the new "A California DL for everybody" law. Just go to the DMV, tell them you are Juan Gomez or Juanita. They give you a new DL that can never be suspended or revoked or used to ID you. I plan on picking up five of them myself. Now I can get stopped by the cops and even with felony arrest warrants out on me, I hand the cop my new DL and I'm on my way to my next crime. How cool.
