God Bless Charlie! He was truly a huge blessing to our family, our Church, our town, and even to Africa. Charlie's passion for missions transformed our church and had a integral part in setting up a wonderful orphan care program in Malawi. He will be missed terribly.

The best friend a guy could ever ask for.
Charlie and I met at San Diego State in about 1976 and build a couple of restaurants in 1969 and 1971. Later, we split our business interests and remained friends all these years-recently, we talked every day about everything-especially Charlie's Forex Daytrading. All these years, never an argument or harsh words, always respect for one another-my best friend.
I sure do miss him and am sure I will see him again
Adios Charlie, you were the best!

Charlie was my older brother by six years. We had a great upbringing by our parents along with our two sisters in Anaheim. He was fun to be around and I always looked up to him growing up. As adults, time and distance, and maybe points of view separated us a bit, but we always had that sibling bond and stood up for each other through and through. Charlie, I love you and I will miss you always. Bob

I TOO, LIKE LYMAN MARTIN, MET CHARLIE AT SAN DIEGO ST. WHERE FIVE OF US LIVED IN A HOUSE ON CAMPUS IN 1966-68. I STILL, TO THIS DAY, DO NOT KNOW HOW WE GRADUATED AFTER ALL THE FUN WE HAD MOSTLY INITIATED BY CHARLIE AND HIS CHARISMA. HE WAS A REAL ATHLETE AND WON A SCHOLARSHIP TO PLAY BASKETBALL AFTER HIGH SCHOOL (ANAHEIM HIGH, CA.). AFTER COLLEGE HAD MUCH MORE GOOD TIMES WITH CHARLIE ,WHETHER IT WAS SKIING, FISHING, HAWAII OR DEL MAR RACETRACK. WE MISS HIM GREATLY BUT KNOW HE IS HAVING THE BEST TIME NOW.

Charlie's father was well- known vet here in Anaheim and I taught Charlie's sister Doris Dean baton twirling for many years. Great memories and times as the Deans were wonderful family and very well respected in Anaheim. I know he and Doris will meet now in the big beyond and enjoy their reunion with others that have gone on ahead of he and Doris. God Bless you all, family , friends and others. May Charlie's memory continue to give hope to others. JO
