SAN DIEGO – On the evening of May 22, Rally for Children was awarded the Spirit of the Arts Award for its annual Arts in the Park from the San Diego County Art Education Association at a ceremony held at Marina Village in San Diego. Eight members of Rally for Children and Arts in the Park were in attendance.

The award was accepted by Kathy Gausepohl and Louise Small on behalf of Rally for Children and the volunteers and sponsors who have worked so hard in the past for Arts in the Park. Arts in the Park provides a free opportunity for local children and families to enjoy a day of fun-filled art experience at Live Oak Park.

The award is not given annually but was expressly given to Rally for their years of enormous work in promoting the advancement of arts in the Fallbrook/Bonsall community.

Members of Rally for Children said they were very pleased with the award and hope that members of their community will continue to take advantage of the activities at Arts in the Park in coming months and years.
