Fallbrook Woman’s Club members win at art festival

FALLBROOK – Members of the Fallbrook Woman’s Club won ribbons in several categories at the Palomar District Art Festival at the Center for Performing Arts in Escondido on Feb. 25. This is an annual event that encourages competition among women with the winners proceeding to the California Federation of Women’s Club competition.

Fallbrook winners include Betty Gilby, first place in Prose – Inspiration; Ayn Bryant, second place in Prose – Short Story and first place in Fine Arts Acrylic – Portrait; Phyllis Audiss, first place in Poetry – Limerick and second place in Photography – Scenes; Diane Jansen, first place in Fine Arts Watercolor – Scenic; Annette AuBuchon, first place in Fine Arts Watercolor – Still Life and first place in Crafts – Knitted Purse; Sue Colby, first place in Crafts – Art Quilt.
