Music marathon erupts at Battle of the Bands

Curtis Price from Fallbrook’s Sherlock Holmies jazz band plays the bass and trumpet. The Sherlock Holmies won the People’s Choice Award and the first place cash prize of $200. Alec Whitson from the Fallbrook band Cadillac Purple plays wild licks on his guitar during an original song during the Battle of the Bands. Artist Daniel Martinez sketches the band Boomba from Orange County during the Battle of the Band competition. Adam Lamah with the Fallbrook band, Empty Spaces play an original song about fallen soldiers on March 16 at the Battle of the Bands. Sherlock Holmies’ Alex Albanna plays the piano and Kai Taylor the drums as they rock the crowd with their mash-up of Miles Davis and Led Zeppelin at the Battle of the Bands competition. Cadillac Purple drummer Conor McDonald dons a caveman costume to perform in the Battle of the Bands held March 16 at the Fallbrook Community Center.
