James Harold Taylor

Thursday, March 14th, 2013
Issue 11, Volume 17.

James Harold Taylor, born Jan. 13, 1929, went peacefully to be with his savior on March 9, 2013 at the age of 84.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother Herman, and his son David Glenn.

James is survived by his "sweetheart" of 64 years, his wife Lucy Taylor and nine children, Miriam Bolding, Sherry (Bruce) Taylor, Randy (Donna) Taylor, James C. Taylor, Terry (Bob) Neuzil, Steve (Honey) Taylor, Raymond Taylor, Paul (Melinda) Taylor, Stacy (Carlos) Adame.

The loving "Papa" to 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren, he is also survived by his brothers Billy, Bobby and Gerald along with sisters Joyce, Katie and Sheila.

James is loved and remembered by many for his humor, compassion, and soft spoken demeanor. He loved to laugh and share old stories. He spent the last 20 years working for the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District as a crossing guard. Over the years he has built lasting bonds with the elementary students and their families, most referring to him as "Grandpa."

We take comfort in knowing he is at peace, healed, and so full of love. There is such an emptiness left by his absence to those who loved him. He will be forever longed for, missed, and cherished in our hearts.

For those who would like to attend, the viewing will be held on Saturday, March 16 from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by a celebration of life service from noon to 1:30 p.m. at The Community Baptist Church located at 731 S. Stage Coach Lane, Fallbrook, officiated by Pastor Matthew Pollock of The Way Family Church, Murrieta, Calif.

Papa, I'm so happy for you that you're with Jesus now, you have a new body, and you're not suffering anymore. I miss you and I love you Papa. Sing with the angels....
