FALLBROOK – In addition to its popular classical music concerts, Fallbrook Music Society provides an active, live classical music outreach program to every Fallbrook and Bonsall public school student. As part of its ‘Curriculum of Musical Experiences’ youth outreach program through music, Fallbrook Music Society enriches the lives of more than 8,000 rural students with a wide variety of professional, in-school music education performances.

‘The Curriculum’ includes a unique series of 45 classical music concerts annually. Every student in the Fallbrook and Bonsall public school districts receives this music education – twice a year within their school day and on their school campuses.

Recently, the Westwind Brass Ensemble took Potter Junior High students through a musical journey with brass instruments, along with a discussion of the basic concepts of brass playing.

program came as he demonstrated to students how he could record the sounds of different instruments on his iPod – and then play the fourth part live on the guitar along with the recorded instruments.

Following her Fallbrook public concert in January, violin virtuoso Caroline Goulding dazzled Bonsall Elementary and Sullivan Junior High students by sharing her exceptional talents and her passion for music through demonstration and friendly Q&A interactions.

The outreach program continued in full force in February with performances by the New York Polyphony and The Knights, a renowned chamber orchestra from the New York music scene.

Jane Lorenz, president of Fallbrook Music Society, said, "We couldn’t present this program without the continued support of generous donations from several local organizations and individuals. We welcome new partners to help us secure the future of this program."
