Are the horses in danger if they drink the water? That information would be helpful!

This is very upsetting ! We have our horse there and this is the FIRST time we hear about the water being bad. Can't believe we find out through the news and not from the management. We are going to move our horse elsewhere a.s.a.p. No wonder the horses have diarrhea/stomach problems all the time at Faubus. Thank-you FVN for reporting the story.

Does anyone know the bacteria count in the Faubus water tank? I was told by the manager that the water was okay for the horses, but the residents had to boil the water before use. This is what I found on the internet:
"Total Bacteria Count
Water intended for livestock should have a total bacteria count of less than 200 bacteria per 100 ml. of water but, based on research literature and field experience, livestock can tolerate levels up to 1 million bacteria per 100 ml. of water (2)."
