The Cutie Patooties team of retired teachers takes a bow after performing a simulated synchronized swimming routine as the finale of the variety show put on by California Retired Teachers Association (CalRTA) Division 81, from left, Judy Igoe, Lenora Sears, Sherry Ludwig, Sandy Bell, Marilyn Wertz, Sally Whitlock and Jewell Ford. Retired teacher Martha Bozulich sings “The Blue Room” with her daughter, professional singer Carla Bozulich, who plays guitar. They were accompanied by Bud Roberds on piano at the retired teachers’ meeting held at Fallbrook Golf Club’s Hukilau restaurant on Feb. 13. CalRTA member Skip Clayton plays “Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream” on his autoharp which he designed and made himself. Lenora Sears portrays George Burns singing “Old Bones” at the Hukilau Restaurant as part of CalRTA’s annual talent show. Bud Roberds played piano for the performance. Judy Igoe presents the book Pete the Cat with the message, “No matter what you step in, keep on walking and singing your song because it doesn’t matter.” Genie Summers, left, plays the part of a computer store saleslady in a skit, “Abbott and Costello Buy a Computer,” with Lenora Sears as the mystified customer on the other end of the phone. Ukelele players, from left, Sally Whitlock, Skip Clayton and Frank Burham lead the audience in singing “Somewhere over the Rainbow.”
