Live Oak Park Road closed from Reche Rd. to Alvarado St. due to fallen tree; Sig Alert issued

Live Oak Park Road has been closed by the California Highway Patrol due a large tree that is down and blocking the roadway. Area residents have said an oak tree about 35 feet tall is what fell.

The CHP issued a Sig Alert at approximately 8:15 a.m. stating that the roadway was closed from Reche Road to Alvarado Street.

A crew from the County of San Diego has been called to work on removing the tree debris from the roadway.

No estimate has been provided as to the re-opening time of the portion of the roadway affected.
