A power outage in the San Diego Gas & Electric system left about 908 Fallbrook customers without power this afternoon (Tues., Feb. 5).

The power went out at approximately 1:47 p.m.

According to SDG&E media spokesperson Gina Jacobs, power was restored to half of the customers at around 2:26 p.m., while the remainder went without power until 3 p.m.

Jacobs did not have a specific reason for the outage.

"It is under investigation," she said.

FALLBROOK - At about 2pm, 900 addresses lost power due to a branch outage according to SDG&E. Estimated time the power will be restored is 4:15pm.

Imagine a response time of days or weeks! We're lucky that SDGE has the ability to field crews asap and the means to restore power to most customers while making repairs. Thank you SDGE for your timely response and thank you SDGE crews for being on top of it!

C. Kinnan, imagine these kind of outages STILL happening in the 21st century, the Age of Information! If this were 1913, then perhaps I could understand it. But 2013? Get real.
