Lypps died after participating in a fundraising golf tournament for the Fallbrook High School baseball team on Jan. 17, 2011. The granite slab bench was chosen by Sara Lypps, Gregg’s wife, in honor of his life work with granite slabs and as a symbol of his passion in artistry. Advertisement The event will be conducted near the north end of the preserve by the duck pond. A representative from Lifesharing, an organization dedicated to organ donations, will be present to talk about the importance of registering to be an organ donor. Sara Lypps made a decision to donate Gregg’s organs before it was too late, and several people in San Diego County have been given another chance at life as a result of that decision.
