In 1955, he and Jean left Minnesota for California, settling in Redondo Beach and bringing up three children there. He worked in the aerospace industry for 40 years as a machinist before retiring at age 62. In 1987, Leo and Jean moved to the lovely quaint town of Fallbrook. He built a beautiful home with a stunning view of the hills. His home included plenty of land for him to once again take up his love of farming. There was never a time he was without some type of fruit or avocados to give to friends in the community. Leo was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW, and Elks Club. He volunteered at Fallbrook Hospital. Leo was a faithful member of the St Peter’s Catholic Church community, a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His loyalty, cheerfulness, and constant devotion to his family will surely be missed by all who love him. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. with a vigil service at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 14 at Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary; funeral service is scheduled at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Fallbrook on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. Final resting place is San Luis Rey Mission Cemetery, Oceanside, Calif. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Disabled Veterans of America. 0 comments Be the first to share your opinion on this article! |
