Harold John BergerThursday, January 10th, 2013 Issue 02, Volume 17.
Harold graduated from Iowa Falls High School. He went to Washington, DC, where he attended Washington University and joined the FBI. He went into counter-espionage as he was fluent in French. After joining the army, he was sent to Europe and spent 2˝ years overseas. He was headquartered in the Allied Expeditionary Forces and earned the Bronze Star. When he came home, he graduated from Southwestern University with a degree in accounting. He worked for Union Oil for 33 years. Harold is survived by his wife Margaret (Butler) and four children: Brian Berger (Gene), Carolyn Graham (Michael), Kevin Berger (Liz) and Pamela Treister (Neil). Harold is also survived by seven grandchildren: Colleen McGrew (David), Christina Flinn (Kyle), Maryann Snyder (David), Kellie Berger (Nick Schweitzer), Joseph and Andrew Treister, Dylan Berger (Racquel) and seven great-grandchildren: Kalie, Connor, Kelsey, Liam, Isabelle, Ian and Neko.
