The Sheriff's Dept., California Highway Patrol, and North County Fire responded to the call reporting the incident. "Upon arrival of units at the location, a male subject was found trapped underneath a vehicle," said Sgt. Paul LaCroix of the Sheriff's Dept. "Preliminary investigation revealed the male subject appeared to have intentionally jumped under the vehicle after being involved in a domestic incident with his wife." Witnesses in the area said Advertisement "The vehicle involved, a 2004 Nissan Sentra, was being driven westbound on Ammunition Rd. when the subject jumped in front of the car," said LaCroix. "Our staff had to use air bag devices to life the vehicle up so the man could be removed from under the vehicle," said John Buchanan of North County Fire. "The male subject was subsequently airlifted by Mercy Air to Palomar Medical Center with serious injuries and his current condition is unknown," said LaCroix. Authorities said the man was expected to undergo surgery for his injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not arrested, nor suspected of any criminal activity. 6 comments
I guess if I were to jump in front of a car, a 2004 Sentra would be my choice, too. only 2800 pounds! I'm surprised he couldn't lift it off of himself.
How sad that the family of this individual could not stop him from being silly enough to involve another individual in his domestic affairs. People if you are going to have an issue with each other, walk away until things calm down and then resolve the issue. Quit involving unsuspecting individuals into your domestic problems. I have sympathy for the driver of he vehicle, what an awful feeling knowing you ran another human or animal over. Deal with your own issues, and either leave the situation permanently, or resolve it within your domain. Honestly, some people do not care how loud they scream, or who they involve, it is always about their problems. Leave everyone else out of your crap. I live around a screaming MiMi, and man is it annoying, I wish they would either resolve it or leave each other.
@re?? hope you call the cops when they off. that sounds like a potential fatal incident waiting to happen. If nothing else tho, repeated visits by the cops will cause them to fight softly or move away from you, either way you win.
Air bags to lift the car? Have they heard of a jack?
The airbags, the fire department use, can lift upwards of 10,000 pounds! They are very easy to use and inflate very quickly. Comment #4----go down to your local fire station and have the firefighters show you the rescue equipment they use. You would be amazed!
I understand how ppl can say don't involve others in ur affairs, but guess what even if "THE MALE" does walk away&let things cool off, he will have a BOLO put on him b/c all the female has to do is say he threatened me, then he's automatically jail-bound!!! I mean w/these weak domestic violence laws, in place, no man will "EVER" be innocent unless the cops "themselves" see everything from start to finish... |
