Wet weather expected in area Saturday through Monday

According to the National Weather Service, wet weather is expected to return to this region late Saturday, December 22 through Monday. December 24.

The conditions are expected for San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange County areas.

A trough of low pressure digging along the West Coast will result in light rain Saturday night and Sunday, but the brunt of the rain will fall Sunday night and Monday.

Snowfall is expected in areas above 6,000 feet in elevation.

Winds are expected in the mountain and desert areas with gusts from 35 to 50 miles per hour.
