Translate this page “Bah, Humbug!” can be heard at Mission TheaterThursday, December 20th, 2012 Issue 51, Volume 16.
The star character is Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser living in Victorian England. In part of the story, the stingy and bitter Scrooge receives visits from various ghosts, who are major focal points in this specific performance. The phrase "Bah, Humbug!" was the famous remark that Ebenezer Scrooge used to describe his views regarding Christmas, before ultimately changing his mind, not only about the holiday itself, but compassion, love, and generosity. "Because of the number of performers wanting to participate in the musical, there have been two casts assigned to Scrooge, with a total of 70 members," said Advertisement Approximately eight weeks of practice has gone into each of the two productions of Scrooge. Performances began Nov. 23 with the first cast and Dec. 8 for the second cast. Performances will continue through Dec. 23. The remaining show times are as follows:
Friday, Dec. 21 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23 at 2 p.m.
Owner of CAST, Patty Hornsveld, said that they have been producing "Christmas magic in a grand tradition" since 1994, celebrating holiday classics such as "A Miracle on 34th Street," which was performed last year. The Mission Theater is located at 200 N. Main Avenue in Fallbrook. For ticket information, call (760) 731-2278 or visit 0 comments Be the first to share your opinion on this article! |
