FALLBROOK – Members and guests of the Fallbrook Branch of the American Association of University Women gathered to celebrate the spirit of the holidays with their Red Sock Event. A tree prominently displayed was decorated with little red socks filled with big checks to be donated to the AAUW Educational Foundation and Legal Advocacy Fund. 

Besides the giving there was some merrymaking and entertainment provided by Flutes of Fancy, a duo that played traditional Christmas music with recorders and viols. And, Advertisement

[ Christ the King Lutheran Church ] of course, there was a bit of drama when special guest Paul Bourque recited his version of "T’was the Night Before Christmas." Member Chris Young and husband Fred provided the holiday setting with an ample supply of delicious food.

Each year AAUW raises money for the Educational Foundation which grants money to women earning graduate degrees. The Legal Advocacy Fund provides legal assistance to women facing discrimination in the workplace.
