The Explorer program offers qualified young adults an opportunity to experience a career in law enforcement by working side-by-side with officers. Minimum requirements to become a CHP explorer include: age 15 - 21 years, minimum "C" (2.0) grade point average, no drug or alcohol use, no felony convictions, and good citizenship.
