Free presentation on twisted limbs

NORTH COUNTY – This fall, learn how to fix twisted limbs and at the same time, have the garden produce more fruit.

The California Rare Fruit Growers are offering a free presentation by Tom del Hotal, expert nurseryman, as he covers a wide range of topics relating to pruning fruiting trees.

Mr. del Hotal has been a nurseryman for 35 years, and his specialty is fruiting trees for climates like Southern California. In his presentation, Advertisement

[ Pala Mesa Resort ] he will cover where and how to make the cuts, how much to remove, how to identify fruiting wood, and how pruning varies for different types of fruiting trees.

Afterwards, he will answer questions on how to fix twisted limbs in order to improve fruit production!

The presentation is being held at Oceanside’s MiraCosta College on Friday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m., in the Student Center, Room 3450.
