The newspaper said at approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, witnesses in the 2200 block of Newport Blvd. spotted Hansen on fire next to his white truck. The bystanders at the scene tried to put out the flames using their own shirts before someone arrived with a fire extinguisher and Advertisement Hansen was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana where he died from his injuries the following morning. It was noted in the article that "Police discovered a red plastic gas container and a lighter near the truck and damage on the passenger side. It was unclear whether the incident was accidental or possible arson that got out of control." Orange County police ask that anyone that may have information about the incident to call Sgt.
