Now that the school bonds have failed, will the districts get a refund for the 10's of thousands spent on consultants. Tax payers should demand a refund for the ill advised propositions.

Well the national election didn't go well but at least all the people I voted for locally were elected. Congratulations Ruthie and Paul on the fire board and Segrid and Lisa on the elementary school board. Also Al Gephard for FPUD. Still waiting to see what happens with BB.

Re: passing of prop 30... Throwing more of OUR money at a problem ain't gonna fix it. More money will be needed. And then more again. No one likes a tight budget, but schools should have to deal with it like the rest of us! I also find it unconstitutional that the majority of us (those that do not make $250,000 + per year) voted in that the minority (those that do make $250,000 + per year) get to pay higher income taxes to foot the schools bills!

I would love to have more money put in my retirement account, but not at the expense of other tax payers. I have a conscience.
The kids won't see a dime and the class room sizes will remain large, but the poor teachers that only make $50,000- Plus a year with great benefits and don't forget paid time off at Easter, Christmas and 2 months in the summer. REALLY!!!!!!

Yes, Obama will ruin our country. He will by-pass Congress by signing executive orders,(he has so far signed 932---more than all Presidents since Washington), tax everyone until they have nothing left, weaken our military, continue to apologize to our enemies, and make every attempt to replace democracy with socialism. Four more years of lies and deception. No one will benefit from Obama's health care---especially seniors. Everyone will pay more for less health care. The economy? Get ready for a major recession, devaluation of the dollar and stock market crash. Yes, folks, all of us are in for some tough times. Be strong, be a proud American!

"Schools should have to deal with it like the rest of us! "

Are you serious?? How about putting money in to our kids future, they will be running this country unless your so old that you may die soon and then who cares. We should be focusing on the education of our children, they need to be up to par like the rest of the world. Education is key to the future.

How much more money did you need teresa? It seems every year we're floating bonds or raising taxes to pay for schools.....and most of the kids are still dumb as a bunch of rocks.

Perhaps if we didn't have so many illegals getting free educations the class sizes would be better as well.

Mom of lots: I agree with you. It's just like Prop Z in San Diego that raises property taxes for the schools. So home owners get forced to pay more for schools while renters get a free ride.....Why wouldn't the larger block of renters vote yes....they have nothing to lose.

Maybe you should start a civil rights movement for all of the downtrodden and oppressed rich people?

Generally speaking, I'm THRILLED with the election results, especially nationally
