While a number of sources exist for financial aid, it can be a confusing system to navigate. And with many misconceptions about college financial aid, the possibility exists that a family may pay thousands of dollars more than they need to during their student’s college years. On Thursday, Nov. Advertisement The workshop will cover how to reduce the out-of-pocket cost of college, how college selection affects costs, the truth about private vs. public colleges, financial aid sources, and how to improve financial aid qualification. This free workshop is meant to educate families on the basic structure of the college financial aid world. Examples will be offered, and best practices discussed. In addition, college costs will be put in perspective relative to other family financial goals, such as retirement savings. Additional workshop dates are scheduled for families that cannot make the Nov. 8 event.
