FALLBROOK – ‘A Classic Beach Party,’ is the title Dean Torrance, co-founder of the Jan and Dean Show gives to the monumental concert scheduled at Fallbrook’s Mission Theatre, 213 N. Main Ave., in a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Oct. 28.

Booking chairman Dave Aranda-Richards said, "The Jan and Dean Show is one of the most sought after concert groups in the world, and thanks to Mr. Torrance, we will be afforded the privilege to host them."

"We expect an early sell-out for these Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, with tickets priced at only $24 a seat," Aranda-

Richards added.

Aranda-Richards noted that Jan and Dean’s career is well documented in pop and surf music history. The band’s original run in the 1960s boasted an impressive 14 gold records and 26 charters.

The band’s seemingly endless list of hits include "Drag City," "My 409," "Barbara Ann," "Surfin’ Safari," "Ride-Ride-Ride the Wild Surf," "Little Ole Lady from Pasadena," "Surfin’ the U.S.A.," "Dead Man’s Curve", and all time top seller "Surf City." They also perform some Beach Boy classics.

Making up the high energy Beach Party Band are former Beach Boy musicians and vocalists, Matt Jardine, Phillip Bardwell, Michael Kowalski, Gary Griffin and former Beach Boy musical director Chris Farmer.

Advance tickets are available online at www.missiontheatre.com or by calling the box office at (760) 731-2278. The first row and part of the second row were sold during the theatre’s recent Southern Stue concert.

"Locals are encouraged to buy tickets soon because Jan and Dean will draw from a large Southern California area," said Aranda-Richards.
