pan for his wife, Kim Peterson, in the kitchen of the Reche Schoolhouse at the Chicken Pot Pie Dinner. The Petersons come from Murrieta to help her parents, Reche Club members Yolande and Ed Jackson, with the dinner each year. The outdoor tables in front of the Reche Schoolhouse filled up early for the chicken pot pie dinner on a very warm afternoon. Around 350 dinners were served with the funds going toward for maintenance of the schoolhouse which was built in 1896. Lindley Mason carries three chicken pot pie plates to serve to diners waiting outside at the Reche Schoolhouse during the Reche Community Club’s annual Chicken Pot Pie Dinner on Sept. 29. Fallbrook 4-H members serve the dinner each year as part of their community service. Reche Community Club member Hanh DeMore is in charge of adding cole slaw (in little containers) to plates of hot chicken pot pie dinners. The dinner also included pie for dessert. 4-H member Michael Edgars pours lemonade before serving it to guests at the Reche Schoolhouse. The dinner is served in three seatings, starting at 4 p.m.
