A Few of Our Favorite Things

Issue 40, Volume 16.

After 13+ years in historic downtown Fallbrook, we are closing our doors.

We have enjoyed the opportunity to have been a part of the heartbeat of Fallbrook. We have met many people we would not have along the way. We have laughed, been sad, and hugged many of you. We will truly miss you.

Although the store will be closing, we will remain a part of the Fallbrook community just as we have for the past 35 years. We hope our paths will cross again perhaps in the grocery store, a restaurant, doctor’s office, or some other place.

Thank you all very much for the warm, wonderful memories we will take with us into our next adventure in life.

This week both the Wayside Cafe and A Few Of Our Favorite Things announced their closures. They join Mimi's Garden, Lone Wolf Garage and Bozie's in just the last 60 days or so.

No one owes small town merchants any of their business. We have to earn it. But since it only takes just a few more visits from local folks like you to make a huge difference, at least keep us in mind and give us a try. You may like what you find.

I wish Bud & Patty the best. They were downtown icons and Fallbrook loses a little bit of its character with every closure like this.

Perhaps..and Im not a business owner on main street..but look at what the rents are..and they are all closed on Sundays and Mondays..thats when some of us like to shop.>SUNDAYS!!! Unless you are into antiques..art..and overpriced clothing..there not alot to attract family shopping...Hate to see empty buildings..I know this is not the opinion page..but someone wrote an article"are you better than 4 years ago?...think not.Best of luck to all those who are changing..
