Jim Frank Sims III, born on July 8, 1959 in Los Angeles, Calif., passed away on Sept. 20, 2012. Fondly known as "Joker" by his friends, Jim attended Fallbrook High School and lived in Fallbrook until 2004.

He was preceded in death by his father Jim F. Sims Jr. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Sims; siblings, Sally Jason, Jessie Sims and Perry Sims; children, Christina Singleton, April Sycz and Jim F. Sims IV as well as three grandchildren.

A celebration of life and remembrance for family and friends will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 5:30 p.m. at the Oceanside Harbor Beach.
