Riverside County sheriff's deputies responded at 10:23 a.m. Tuesday to a report of suspicious people near Haugen-Lehmann Drive and I-10 and saw two people run from a maroon Chrysler that was parked partially blocking the westbound offramp, according to a department statement. One of the suspects, a 17-year-old girl, was detained, but the other, later identified as Jonathan Steven Bowles, escaped by running into the desert, according to the statement.
