The elder pictured in this article is not a Pala Tribal member. His name is Saginaw Grant of the Sac-Fox nation and he has been involved in the movie industry for decades, as well as being a real Indian honoring his native and traditonal heritage. Nice of the Village News to cover the Pala Powwow, and some great pictures.

Congrats to the dancers. Nice Pictures #2 honoring the traditional Rlaph Lauren "Chaps" shirts, #3 Honoring the traditional steel can "Gourd" dance, #4 honoring the traditional Native American game of "rock-paper-scissors."

Truly, this is honoring Anerican traditions at their best, commercialism...innovation...entertainment!

To Wow Im pretty sure it was about honoring the people and their traditions not commercialism. But if they made some money to feed their families off of it then bravo. Innovation and entertainment maybe. I mean really without either you wouldnt be typing this now would you?
