Thursday, July 29th, 2010. Issue 30, Volume 14. FALLBROOK – Of the many opportunities to volunteer at the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary (FAS), taking the dogs for a walk in Live Oak Park ranks near the top. The "woof walk" is becoming a weekly tradition. "It’s a great way to get these beautiful dogs out and interacting with one another and the volunteers" said FAS volunteer coordinator Gigi Eckels. "They are getting well socialized and ready to be adopted into their forever homes. We all get exercise in the process too!" Other volunteer opportunities include assisting with fundraising, Saturday adoptions, newsletter preparation, grooming, loving and fostering cats and dogs waiting for adoption. To find out more about volunteering, email info@fallbrookanimalsanctuary.org or call (760) 685-3533.
