Thursday, July 29th, 2010. Issue 30, Volume 14. FALLBROOK – Edward Casey, 18 of Fallbrook Boy Scout Troop 731 recently finished the requirements to earn his Eagle Scout Award. Casey’s project was to build raised garden beds at the Mission Resource Conservation community gardens in Fallbrook. Casey, a recent graduate of Fallbrook High School, will be attending UC Irvine in the fall where he will major in engineering. He was awarded a College Board AP Scholar Award and a President’s Award for Academic Excellence. While at Fallbrook High he was the academic team captain, a National Merit Advertisement "Mr. Bailey guided me through almost all of my scouting experiences," said Casey. "Mr. Malbrough was my first scoutmaster and influenced my scouting experience heavily, from his emphasis on first aid and knot tying to hand-sewing my uniform."
