Grand Tradition - For Fallbrook/Bonsall residents who don't want to fight the traffic and like the idea of helping to raise money to keep the roadways and medians into town beautiful, the closest full-scale fireworks show, along with food, fun, dancing, live music, children's games, crafts, military salute and even rubber ducky races, is a large family event/fundraiser hosted by the Fallbrook Beautification Alliance at the Grand Tradition (1602 S. Mission Road).

Bringle Terrace Park - The annual fireworks show and celebration in the new Moonlight Amphitheatre in Brengle Terrace Park, 1200 Vale Terrace Drive is the annual Independence Day Celebration in Vista. It is free to the public with fireworks scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. Parking is $10 per vehicle at the park. Starting at 1:00 p.m., parking and shuttle services are available at no charge from Vista High School, One Panther Way, Vista.

For people who want to go to San Diego for their pyrotechnic shows, listed below are complete lists of scheduled events around San Diego and Riverside counties marking the nation's 234th Independence Day, with the largest being the "Big Bay Boom" fireworks spectacle, which will light up the nighttime skies along downtown San Diego's waterfront.

More than 750,000 people are expected to line the shores of San Diego Bay to witness the "Big Bay Boom" show.

The annual pyrotechnics show, which is put on by the Port of San Diego, features fireworks shot simultaneously from four barges coordinated to live music.

New this year, fireworks will also be launched from the Imperial Beach Pier.

The fireworks are scheduled to start at 9 p.m.

The best places to view the 20-minute show include Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Spanish Landing, Embarcadero Marina Park, Cesar Chavez Park and Coronado Tidelands Park, according to the port.

Port officials encouraged spectators to carpool or take the San Diego Trolley to avoid the inevitable traffic woes.

During the day, parades and Fourth of July festivals are planned around San Diego County.

In Temecula, a "Star Spangled Fourth of July Parade" is planned at 1 p.m. in Old Town, with equestrian units, marching bands, floats and war veterans heading down Old Front Street. The city's fireworks extravaganza is scheduled at 9 p.m. in the Ronald Reagan Sports Park.

There will be a celebration and fireworks show in San Jacinto, with a parade starting near Commonwealth and heading up San Jacinto Ave. to the Estudillo Mansion where there will be food, booths and fireworks. Festivities begin at 5pm.

One of the biggest will be at Mount Rubidoux Park in Riverside, where an aerial fireworks extravaganza is planned at 9 p.m. The pyrotechnics bonanza is visible from miles around.

In Beaumont, the city's annual "4th of July Pyro Spectacular" in Stewart Park will include a mini music fest featuring Papa Doo Run Run and The Basix.

In Lake Elsinore, a fireworks show is planned at The Diamond after the Lake Elsinore Storm minor league baseball team squares off with the Visalia Rawhide.
