San Francisco Chamber Orchestra brings ‘Mandolin Magic’ to FallbrookThursday, March 18th, 2010 Issue 11, Volume 14.
The dynamic musical program features Bach’s Concerto for Mandolin (arr. for mandolin), plus Beethoven’s "Andante con Variazioni" for Mandolin and Strings, Corelli’s "Concerto Grosso" in F Major and Osvaldo Golijov’s Last Round - a surprising mix of passionate tango and classical music. Currently based in Pavia, Italy, Israeli mandolin player Avi Avital was recently awarded the precious Advertisement The concert will be held Sunday, March 28 at 3 p.m. in the Bob Burton Center for the Performing Arts, 2400 South Stage Coach Lane. Open to all ticket holders. Music Director Simon will give a preview at 2:30 p.m. Single tickets are $38 for adults and $10 for full-time students.
