Two individuals are behind bars after a Sheriff's deputy discovered they were in possession of stolen property and burglary tools.

Sheriff's deputy Andrew Brumfield questioned parolees Vanessa Paredez, 27, and Ivan Trujillo, 20, as they stood on the corner of Kalmia Street and North Main Avenue.

"From prior cases, Brumfield knew [Paradez] to be on parole," said Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation Commander Phil Brust.

Upon searching the two, Brumfield discovered that Paredez was in possession of marijuana and a stolen credit card. Trujillo was found to be in possession of a stolen GPS device and tools commonly used to commit burglaries.

Brumfield recognized the GPS device from a report he'd taken earlier in which Advertisement

the victim reported it stolen, and took both Paredez and Trujillo into custody. They were processed at the Sheriff's substation and subsequently booked in the Vista Detention Facility.

Paredez was booked for possession of stolen property and possession of marijuana. Trujillo was booked for possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools, and is also being held for a violation of his probation. Both individuals' bail is set at $20,000.

Fallbrook detectives are following up on the stolen property and will be attempting to find the owners.

"This is just good police work from a proactive deputy," said Brust. "I'm proud of the hard work he's done."

Can't say I told ya so, I did. Just another act from the people coming here for a better life, yours. Now someone needs to go to the SDSO web site and see if an ICE hold.

I hope these two individuals rights were not violated? Can the officer prove that the g.p.s. device was stolen? Were the tools "really" used for burglaries ?

Most any tool can be used to break into something. How much marijuana was this cat in possession of? Enough to warrant an arrest? Usually, if less than 1 oz. you're issued a citation with a fine of $100.00.
Sounds like harassment?

If your face has turned red with anger, I was just messin with you:) Good to get these guys off the street. Walk like a duck, dress like a duck, you know the rest. It's time to take back Fallbrook!

Ray just so I understand an Ice hold is about illegal immirants? Since the above mentioned people have names of hispanic origin they are automatically illegal immigrants? Wow are you quick to judge! I am all for consequences for crimes but dont make assumptions or statments if you dont know the facts.

justice for all: During my brief stay at Club Vista, out of the 50 people in a cell block, over 40 were Hispanic. One thing I can say is that without Hispanics, there would be no job security for our law enforcement. Who say's Barry "badda bing" Soetoro's stimulus and open borders policies have not created jobs.

justice for all; No I said check and see if they are, it's easy on the SDSO web site "who's in jail" the charges will be listed and any other actions like ICE holds. See our press and media has been infected with the PC virus that certain details are left out of stories, the NCT is the biggest offender of the truth. Try reading the comment huh.

This arrest was obviously racially motivated. I will be writing Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer a letter of protest as soon as I call the ACLU.

Sacrcasm off.

Observant, how can you say that the arrest was racially motivated? Really? Your seriously going to defend these criminals? You should be thankful that they are off our streets and not breaking into your home! All races commit crimes and all races should be held accountable for their actions no matter what color! Think before you speak!

I agree with petition! Go back to Kansas Ray! From the things you write it seems you appear to be a predjudice racist. Besides you obviously do not know or like our state the way it is. California is NOTHING like Kansas with or without snow.
