Todd David Norton, 43, was arrested at his home in the 4100 block of Deluz Road Thursday afternoon after deputies executed a search warrant and found alleged child pornography on his computer, said Fallbrook Sheriff's Detective Dan Laibach. Norton's wife called authorities Monday to say that she had left her husband of four years and had taken their four-year-old child with her because she caught him watching a movie clip of two pre-teen girls touching each other, Laibach said. "When she left Norton, he began to leave threatening voicemail messages on her phone, saying that he was going to shoot up the house she was staying at, and that he was going to kidnap their daughter," said Laibach. Norton's wife reported the criminal threats to the police, and also cited the pornographic downloads he had made. "We had a preliminary check of the computer after delivering the warrant," said Laibach. "We found sufficient images of child pornography to make the charge." Pornographic images of children under the age of 14 were found on the computer. Currently the FBI is continuing investigation on the computer's hard drive to find more data. Norton was booked into the Vista jail on $50,000 bail, according to jail records. A Fallbrook man was arrested after his wife caught him looking at alleged child pornography on his computer was arrested March 11. Good for her. It takes a lot of guts for this woman to do what she did. Wondering how many would stay with this jerk....some women fall victim to these creeps, and before they know it their lives and their childrens' lives are in tatters because they choose to ignore their spouse's deviant behavior.

Lets just all hope she did not set him up and plant the stuff on there herself during a bitter divorce and custody battle. Again, he is innocent until proven guilty. I would never defend a child molester, but you do not know if any of that really happened.

Just sick about this--I understand what you are saying, but I still believe he is innocent until proven guilty. You have obviously never known a vindictive, evil ex-wife. This woman could easily have fabricated all this and downloaded the porn stuff herself on his computer. She then could have threatened him with going to the police with her phony allegations and ruining his life. It could have been at that point that he left threatening, awful emails and messages to her over his fear of never seeing his child again. Can't you acknowledge that as a possibility? Remember, you do not know the details of this story. There are some women who have made up this type of allegation (molestation, porn addict, etc.), just to hurt their spouses to the core. They know how easy it is to fake something like this. She may very well be the hero here, but until it is proven in the court of law, put your noose away. I am just trying to be fair that's all. I am not saying he is innocent. I just don't think it is right to rush to judgment.

This idiot ran his life into the ground, either by pedophilia or by marrying a psycho. either way, he messed up big time and needs to pay the price. I hope and pray that a father would never violate a daughters trust, a father is often the only man she will be able to trust while growing up. On the other hand my mother told me one thing that has often been so very true. That is " Don't put anything pass anyone Especially a Woman" !!!
I am wondering if the chain of abuse has those who were abused in their lives explore and probe the wound by looking at child porn to reconcile their own very disturbed and traumatic past. The question is, where did it start? What makes someone drawn to this? Usually it is because it was done to them. Of course we have zero tolerance but also retain our compassion to understand the underlying roots of this imbalance in our society. Ultimately, as we are all connected, what happens to any of us happens to all of us. With that thought, perhaps we can hold thoughts for this family that all might find peace, healing and an honest resolution to this situation on a soul level.

That Detective Laibach guy sure seems to have a knack for weeding out perverts. Wasn't he the same detective who busted the "Bus Stop Perv" on Clemmens Lane a while back? He sure is a good cop to have in town. I for one think all our kids are much safer because of him. Fallbrook should name a road after him or something. Perhaps an artist can make a life size bronze statue of him to display on Main Ave?

"Kiddie Porn" is sometimes attached to popups and you might have them in your computer without even knowing it and usually after the hystria of a high profile case, people see predators under every rock, remember the Mc. Martin trial in the 1980's. I still am waiting for the Supreme Court to define pornography farther than "I'll know it when I see it". Today most people especially male adults see a child in need, they run the other way, a shame really but a fact of life. Remember folks, the internet is a dangerous place, make sure your software is up to date.

If you browse your blocked IP addresses and do a WHOIS on the IP addresses, you will be suprised. You don't have to go to sites to receive these hidden attachments. There are pupups, attachments and other ways these files get into your computer and Microsoft does little about it.

I asked for divorce. Well she got angry at me and told me I was going to pay. I went away on a business trip and guess what.... I come back and get arrested for possessing child porn! Along with elaborate stories of how she was abused and made pregnant unwillingly in 2002. You know... some people who get charged with this sick s--t are innocent and set up by evil vindictive women. Just because somebody is branded with child porn charges doesn't make that person an abuser or somebody who is interested in that stuff. Perhaps it was a tool used in divorce to gain the upper hand.
