![]() Camp Pendleton Federal Police Officers Rafael Moreno, left, and Marcos Nieves, the the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Medals they received during a ceremony held at Security Battalion, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Feb. 24. They are the first civilian police officers to receive this award since the Marine Corps adopted the military base civilian police program in June 2007. The officers received the award for their lead role in delivering a baby at the San Luis Rey gate, Oct. 26, 2009. Lance Cpl. Alicia Oneil gave birth to Cain Hutcherson, at 8:14 p.m. in the passenger side of her vehicle while waiting for the paramedics to arrive. 9 comments
