They are the first civilian police officers to receive this award since the Marine Corps adopted the military base civilian police program in June 2007. The officers received the award for their lead role in delivering a baby at the San Luis Rey gate, Oct. 26, 2009. Lance Cpl. Alicia Oneil gave birth to Cain Hutcherson, at 8:14 p.m. in the passenger side of her vehicle while waiting for the paramedics to arrive.

Congrats guys! We came along way from the days of the academy to this day huh?! Job well done and thanks for respresenting our Department. Keep up the good work and show people that we don't do great only on isolated ocassions, but always!
