Issue 07, Volume 14.

The "Watercolor World" reception held Feb. 6 at the Fallbrook Art Center was wonderful, and the show beautiful. The quality and national recognition the watercolor event is getting should be such a source of pride for our community. Both the show and Fallbrook got high compliments from artist, teacher and jurist Frank Webb.

The next day, prior to Mr. Webb’s lecture and demonstration, I had the pleasure of visiting with one of the workshop participants (I believe he’s from Canada). He was amazed at all he had seen at the Art Center and the School of the Arts. He’s been here for several days, and had a sketchbook of beautiful drawings of his stay in Fallbrook. coming after the workshop is over and I gave him guest passes to the Art Center to bring his wife back to see the show. He said Fallbrook really "grows on you."

Congratulations to the two directors of the School and the Art Center for bringing such an enriching experience to Fallbrook for all to enjoy. Events of this caliber really put Fallbrook on the map for arts education and as an arts destination. I hope everyone will take the opportunity to see this spectacular show at the Fallbrook Art Center and check out the wonderful, high-quality art classes available at the school. What a sense of pride we all felt Saturday evening!

I thought Fallbrook was allready on the "art map" judging by all the artwork on fences, walls, buildings, sidewalks and road signs. One man's art is another man's graffiti.
