"Once again, that crazy little art community of Fallbrook has put themselves on the map by conceiving a show unlike any other watercolor exhibition," commented Pulitzer Prize winning artist Berkeley Breathed when learning of the show. What makes the Signature exhibition so unique is that all applicants must have achieved Signature Membership Status in a recognized U.S. Watercolor Society or Association bringing the level of work to a very prestigious level. "I found these entries were very competitive since only credentialed artists were qualified, whereas most of the big shows are open to all," comments juror Frank Webb. Webb’s impact within the watercolor community is celebrated and respected all over the world. He is a Vice President and Dolphin Fellow of the American Watercolor Society and Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society. In conjunction with the Signature American Watercolor Exhibition, the NWS Travel Show brings before the public the best of watermedia painting, representing a wide range of directions and technique, from experimental to traditional. NWS is one of the premier watercolor societies in the nation and since its inception in 1920 has produced 89 traveling shows for art lovers to enjoy. Fallbrook Art Center invites everyone to visit this exciting exhibit that showcases watercolor as a vital, enduring and expressive medium. The Opening Reception for FAC Premier Level Members will be held on February 6, 2010 from 5-7 pm. The exhibition continues daily February 7—March 28, Mon - Sat 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Sun 12 – 3 p.m. Admission: Show $5, all FAC members, active military and youth under 18 are free.
