Thursday, January 7th, 2010.
Issue 01, Volume 14.

With the comment period for the Draft Environmental Impact Report complete, much information surfaced regarding the inadequacies, misinformation and illogical assumptions that report relied on as "fact." It was a travesty!

Granite’s claim a mega mine would "Reduce traffic going north" was based on the assumption that 70 percent of traffic from the mine would go south. Wrong.

Gary Johnson stated in an interview, "Granite wouldn’t be investing millions of dollars in this mine if there was a chance the San Diego demand would go away."

Well, guess what?

Now that it’s public information that "CEMERA" (Eagle Rock Aggregates, subsidiary of Polaris Advertisement
Club Paradise
Club Paradise
Minerals and CEMEX) entered into exclusive negotiations with the Port of San Diego to supply aggregate by shipping from Canada, there is no need for a mega mine.

They estimate 3,000,000 tons per year to start.

This is a "clean" solution to a dirty industrial project.

Riverside has their share of quarries. Find another place for your mine!

You couldn’t build a high enough "wall" to hide the inconsistencies, the inaccuracies and the false information about the effects from your mine.

People are not falling for your ads and false promises.

"What you do speaks louder than what you say."
